HOT DATE TONIGHT. The Opera. Best seat in the House. NYC Gent in his finery. Mustache is waxed, shoes are buffed, French cuffs just so. He's one of a Pair of Tintypes. See TINTYPE # 8. Very grand backdrop. Well lit & posed. Excellent tonal range. Some tinting. Fine condition too. A couple of very shallow short bends at the bottom left & right. Hard to see. Perfect finish. Viewed on my screen it is as close in color, contrast & sharpness as can be achieved with the equipment at hand. Generally, what you see is inferior to the real thing. All scans are matched to the image when viewed in the light of a 20 watt Halogen reading lamp which sits by my computer. I adjust the controls for accuracy only, NEVER to enhance.
