| Description Obviously
the work of a professional photographer this wonderful group photo is
skillfully posed. The details are fantastic, very clear, my scans don't do
it justice. It retains it's original clarity & density with just some
fading at the top. We have some real characters here, the high ranking
British Officers are most likely visiting this Egyptian group. They seem
to be making the rounds since I have several other large Albumens which
show them with Khartoum Regiments in the dessert. One shows them on
horseback. In an effort to find out more about this era of British
Colonialism in Africa I found several websites which might be of interest

| Condition Very good to excellent. Mounted on a large album card stock page by means of glued corners. Image is flat & shows no signs of glue discoloration. Cardboard surround has some water marks & mold spots which do not effect the photo. |
| Comments Given the current situation in the Sudan this image speaks of a time some might think of with nostalgia. |
