Description A lovely & serene childhood portrait of little brother with big sister. Affectionate & well behaved. They are doing as they are told...keeping still & holding the pose nicely. Hard to photograph dark haired sitters dressed in all white but this photographer pulled it off. There is good definition in both, the dark and light areas. Sepia toning adds to the soft, romantic look.
Condition Not great. Some of the emulsion has worn off above the kid's heads. There is some retouching to the girl's chin & in her hair beside the head band rosette, done in the studio at the time. Some chipping around the edges. A nice frame with an oval or circular mat would greatly improve this lovely image by hiding the more visible flaws. Please click on photos for a better look.
