                                                                        TORONTO TOUGH

6th Plate. Unattributed Ambrotype of a Toronto Lad.  Bit of a scrapper here. I wouldn't be surprised if he's from "Cabbage Town" a tough part of the City then known for its Irish population. A laborer dressed in his best shirt & tie. The Ambro is on very thick glass with the emulsion on the front which explains the faint mat marks. It is somewhat dark. The top center image is as close as I could get it to the original. Lovely blue tinting to his big bow as well as softly tinted cheeks. Paper half case. SOLD   Shipping within North America is $ 8 approx.

Please note:   I make every effort to create a scan that mirrors the actual image as close as possible. Viewed on my screen it is as close in color, contrast & sharpness as can be achieved with the equipment at hand. Generally, what you see is inferior to the real thing. All scans are matched to the image when viewed in the light of a 20 watt Halogen reading lamp which sits by my computer. I adjust the controls for accuracy only, NEVER to enhance.
