DEC13 ANTIQUE LOBSTER & CRAB SALAD SET

Description Not for the conservative! Loud & fabulous! 2 realistically modeled crabs serve as handles while the claws have the same function for the serving spoons. Lots of figural shells sit on top of the hand-painted seaweed that decorates the base. The bowl itself is also covered with hand-painted shells & seaweed. The silver plated rim gives it the finishing touch. The 2 serving spoons are also silver plated & feature a seaweed motif. The claws are banded with either Sterling or plate the design of which feature fishes & shells. Victorian bizarre!
Condition Excellent. There was a bit of damage to one of the small crab legs hugging the bowl which my restorer took care of. All else fine.
Comments Just think how great your Bouillabaisse will look in this.
