Date & Maker  c1870 George Jones, England. Marked with the company's raised Stoke on Trent double oval mark.
Description   Here we have the medium size Cheese Keeper in the "Wild Rose on Barrel Staves"  design. Worthy to be the center piece of your Majolica collection. Nice large size.
Condition   The bell is sound, no cracks or chips but restoration to handle. Under plate's pink area was re-glazed to cover wear. All very well done. The pieces look flawless. brilliant glaze.
Comments    Please the  George Jones & Sons c1873 pattern book page reproduced in Karmazon / Stacke on p 89 which features this model in the tall Stilton version.
