EM1PAIR OF SERPENT HANDLED MAJOLICA VASES
Date & Maker       Date Code for 1859  Minton, England. Marked.
Description      SPECTACULAR  pair of Minton Majolica cobalt blue ground Amphora Vases  with 4  poison green coiled serpents on each.  Minton turquoise/aqua interior rimmed with ochre.
Condition         Just about MINT.  No cracks, hairlines or repairs. A small base chip, not visible unless turned over. 1 or 2 insignificant scratches to most bulbous ports. Highly reflective glaze!
Comments        Minton made a variety of vases with serpent handles,  this design was unfamiliar to me. Personal favorites.
